The opportunity: 

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Supervisor to oversee the installation, maintenance, and improvement of landscaping projects tailored for childcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on leadership experience and a passion for creating safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces for children. This role requires managing a team of landscapers, ensuring high-quality project delivery, and liaising directly with clients to meet their needs while adhering to safety regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Project Management & Supervision: Oversee landscaping projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and coordinate the landscaping crew for efficient workflow.
• Child-Safe Landscaping: Ensure outdoor spaces meet safety standards suitable for children.
• Client Liaison: Communicate with childcare facility managers to meet their needs and expectations.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed work for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety procedures, conduct risk assessments, and address hazards.
• Resource Management: Optimize the use of materials, equipment, and labour.
• Problem-Solving: Resolve on-site issues quickly and efficiently.
• Maintenance Oversight: Develop and manage maintenance schedules for childcare facility landscapes.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain records, track progress, and report to management.

You will have: 

• Experience: 3-5 years in landscaping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in childcare landscaping preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of landscape construction, irrigation, horticulture, and child-safe play area requirements.
• Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, and communicate effectively with clients and staff.
• Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, including those for children's outdoor spaces.
• Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making skills to handle on-site challenges.
• Certifications (Preferred): White Card, First Aid & CPR, Working with Children Check, Horticulture Certification.
• Driver’s License

Work Environment & Conditions:

• Outdoor work environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
• Combination of hands-on landscaping work and administrative/supervisory duties.
• Travel between job sites may be required.
