From your baby's first days to the year before school, every classroom runs our Learning for Life curriculum: child-led, play-based, and grounded in the Early Years Learning Framework.
Choosing the right childcare is one of the most important decisions a family can make. At Explorers, child safety and wellbeing are embedded into every part of our practice, from secure entry systems and supervision procedures to the respectful, trusting relationships we build with every child. Our educators are trained in First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis management, and our safety practices are supported by clear policies, regular risk assessments and a strong culture of care. Most importantly, we create environments where children feel emotionally safe, deeply supported and genuinely known.
At Explorers Wallan, learning extends beyond the classroom. Children may take part in Bush Kinder, local excursions, incursions, music, movement, visual arts and community experiences that help them connect with the world around them.

All the educators here are so lovely. My daughter only attends once a week at the moment, but i know its her favourite day of the week. “We have had our daughter Mikayla at Explorers Early Learning for the past couple of months, and as first-time parents, sending our little girl to childcare for the first time was honestly one of the hardest things we have had to do.
Those first drop-offs were emotional, especially seeing Mikayla upset as we walked away. But knowing she is surrounded by caring, supportive and compassionate educators has made such a difference for us. “If you are looking for a the perfect centre to enrol your child into, I wouldn’t look anywhere else except Explorers!
My child has struggled at other centres, wasn’t wanting to go and made me think that maybe childcare just wasn’t suited for him.
But then we went and did the tour here at explorers, and he didn’t want to leave! As soon as you get up the stairs, you are welcomed into such a beautiful and calm environment. That doesn’t just stop at the entry, you can see and feel it in each of the rooms.
To see on my sons first day, he was so happy to tell me he made friends and likes his teachers (and he couldn’t wait to come back again). The teachers really do work with the children and their families to be able to best support the child, they’re truly not just a number here, but well known by name.
To have my child now love it so much that he likes to play ‘explorers’ at home with his older brother. My son pretends to be ‘Chelsea’ (the centre manager) or ‘Sandra’ (his teacher) and has his brother be one of the ‘kids’. What I have witnessed him ‘playing’ is truly a testament to the way the teachers and centre manager interacts and connects with the kids there. Because clearly he was saying and acting like how they must be like when they interact with him (which is very warm and nurturing).
Honestly, you can’t get any better than this centre. They truly show a high standard of care!”
“My son started with Explorers Wallan in March of this year. His first time attending a daycare service and so far he has done so well. The new centre is spacious, clean, a lot of activities indoor and outdoor for the children and we feel confident that our son is safe and secure here. With thanks to Chelsea, Megan, Dempsie, Alyssa, Divya, Sandra, Tayla and Ben who are all so friendly and welcoming, they have made our experience a lot more comfortable for both our son and us. What are the centre opening hours?
Explorers Wallan is open Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm.
What age groups do you cater for?
Explorers Wallan provides early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to school age, including babies, toddlers and funded 3 and 4-year-old kindergarten.
Is there onsite or off-street parking for pickups and drop-offs?
Yes. Onsite parking will be available to ensure convenient and safe drop-offs and pick-ups for families.

Is there a waitlist?

Do you provide meals?
Yes. Children are provided with fresh, seasonal meals prepared daily by our in-house chef. We cater for allergies, intolerances, cultural preferences and individual dietary needs.
How does Explorers Wallan accommodate children with dietary restrictions or allergies?
Our early learning centres have an in-house chefs who prepares fresh, delicious meals daily, and we’re always happy to adjust for dietary needs and preferences. Just let us know what your child requires, and we’ll handle the rest.
How do you communicate with families?
We use Storypark to share daily updates, learning documentation and developmental progress. This helps families stay connected to their child’s day, experiences and learning journey.
What safety measures are in place?
When the kids are outdoors, we’re right there with them. We do regular safety checks, and our trained team are always nearby to make sure children can explore freely while we keep them safe and sound. Our Wallan childcare centre has secure entry systems, supervision procedures, regular risk assessments and clear medical management protocols. Outdoor areas are regularly checked and supervised by trained educators. Educators are trained in First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis management, and child safety is embedded into our everyday practice.
