Learning
for Life Curriculum
At Explorers, our unique Learning for Life curriculum tailors learning experiences to support children’s development from our babies through to 4 year old kindergarten. Our programs are designed to foster learning by exploring the deep curiosities of children, ensuring a seamless transition to school.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach® to early education, our program emphasises child and adult centred, inquiry based learning, encouraging experimentation, creativity and critical thinking.
In addition, our learning programs are developed in line with Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework’s (VEYLDF) guidelines and recommendations. We’re dedicated to exceeding the criteria of this framework and the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Explorers is committed to providing a rich, engaging and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Each room runs an educational program that is tailored to meet the needs of both the children’s interests, strengths and developmental levels.

Find Out MoreEnvironments
At Explorers, our Educators create intentional learning experiences in both indoor and outdoor environments to encourage children to learn through play.
These experiences are designed to promote children's development in a variety of areas, including maths and literacy concepts, independence and responsibility, culture and community, physical wellbeing, nature and environment, science and discovery, creative expression, sensory play, communication and social skills, and imaginative and dramatic play.
Each room is set up with specific learning experiences to support these areas of development, using open-ended resources and provocations to extend children's learning.
Learning Portfolios
To ensure that we capture every child's learning journey, we maintain portfolios that document individual and small group experiences.
These portfolios are updated regularly by Educators and can be accessed by families at any time. This allows families to see their child's progress, interests, and achievements, and collaborate with Educators to support their child's development.
